David Fisher, Jr., OD, FAAO
Dr. Fisher was born in Jennings, Louisiana to David and Shirley Fisher, owners and operators of Fisher Early Childhood Development Center here in Lafayette. At six months of age his family moved to Lafayette and he has been here since. Dr. Fisher graduated from Acadiana High School and received his Bachelor of Science from U.S.L. (now UL Lafayette). He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry, a private college in Memphis, TN. Upon graduating in May 1990 he was accepted into a residency/fellowship program in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease. The residency took him through July 1991. He then returned to Lafayette and entered into private practice. Dr. Fisher is a member of the Optometric Association of Louisiana, and is a past president of the association. He was named a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 1996. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and also serves on the board of the Southwest Council of Optometrists.
His community services are centered around helping the troubled youth of our area. He works closely with the Children's Shelter, Acadiana Shelter for Girls and Maison de Mere through his association with Acadiana Youth, Inc.
He married the former Nanette Sonnier in 1991 and they share beautiful triplet boys: Mason, Evan and Reed, born September 1997.

Garett P. Thibodeaux, O.D.
Dr. Garett Thibodeaux is from Scott, LA. He graduated from St. Thomas More Catholic high school in 1998 where he was active in sports and music. Dr. Garett attended UL Lafayette where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2002. While at UL, he was active on campus with Kappa Sigma Fraternity and Student Orientation staff. Dr. Garett earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2006. He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, Student Ambassadors, and the American Optometric Student Association while at SCO.
Dr. Garett joined Dr. Fisher in 2008. Together, they manage 3 private practices. Dr. Garett is active with the Optometric Association of Louisiana as a member of the executive board and as President of the Acadiana Optometric Society. In 2010, Dr. Garett was awarded the Young Optometrist of the Year by the OAL. Dr. Garett enjoys volunteering with the Lafayette Community Health Clinic eyecare service.
Dr. Garett married Meghan Preis in 2004. In late 2009, they became the proud parents of twins, Madeline and Griffin.

Lou Anne Jacques---Lafayette Team Leader
Lou Anne is from Yougsville, Louisiana and now lives in Lafayette. She is the Office Manager of the Lafayette office and has been for 12 years. She has worked in the field of Optometry for 41 years. She is a wife, mother, homemaker and enjoys gardening and sailing. She does office billing and collections, as well as greets as a receptionist and will help make your appointment. Susan G. Melancon--- Certified Para Optometric Assistant
Susan is from Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. She has worked for 16 years in the field of optometry and has worked with Dr. Fisher for 16 years. She handles all of our eyewear needs from ordering and stocking frames of all designs to aiding in frame selection and dispensing for our patients. She is a certified Para-Optometric Technician and has been since 1996. She is certified to obtain patient medical histories and perform preliminary tests for all ocular exams.

Chanita Mc Galliard---Contact Lens Technician
Chanita is from Shreveport, Louisiana and now lives in Lafayette. She has worked in the field for twelve years and has been with Dr. Fisher for six years. She specializes in the research and fit of contact lenses for our office. She is a trained technician to assist with the preliminary testing and medical history for complete ocular examinations.

Jackie Green--- Breaux Bridge Team Leader
Jackie was born in Lafayette and now currently lives in Cecilia, Louisiana. She is the wife of Tex Green and they have been marrried for 40 years. They have 5 children and 13 grandchildren. She is the office manager at the Breaux Bridge Vision Clinic and a certified Paraoptometric Assistant. She began her career in the field during 1990 and has worked with Dr. Fisher for over 5 years. She handles scheduling, insurance billing and filing, frame styling and manages the front desk. She enjoys helping our patients see and look better. During her spare time, she enjoys cooking, sewing, reading, gardening and fishing.

Sheryl Guy---Receptionist
Sheryl is from New Orleans and lives in Maurice, Louisiana but has lived in the Lafayette area for the past 25 years. She has over 25 years of medical receptionist experience and has joined Dr. Fisher’s team to assist you in making appointments or any other eye care needs you may have. She is the mother of two and proud grandmother of 1 grandson, Griffin. Sheryl enjoys walking her two dogs, reading, needlework and cooking.

Veronica Sculley--- Insurance Coordinator
Roni is from Berwick, LA and now resides in Broussard, LA. Roni has been on staff for 4 years and brings an additional 12 years of experience in the medical field. If you have any questions regarding insurance filing, she's the expert. She manages all insurance filing for the Lafayette and Youngsville offices as well as establishes and maintains all insurance credentialing for the doctors.

Melissa Gainey--- Receptionist
Melissa is from Port Sulphur, Louisiana and now currently lives in Breaux Bridge. She has over 15 years of experience in the medical field and now runs the front desk of our Youngsville office. She will be happy to schedule your appointment and assist with your eyecare needs. She enjoys singing, walking, reading, writing and journaling. Melissa comes from a large family and has a son named Brandon.

Raina Broussard--- Certified Paraoptometric Assistant
Raina is from Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. She has worked in the medical field for almost 8 years and now currently works at the Breaux Bridge Vision Clinic. She is a technician in our clinic and assists the doctors by obtaining medical histories and performing eye tests. Raina also manages our frame inventory in our optical. She has a daughter named Kilah. Raina enjoys playing and coaching volleyball, shopping, spending time with her daughter, family and friends.

Rebecca Williams---Certified Paraoptometric Assistant
Rebecca is from Breaux Bridge, Louisiana and works at the Breaux Bridge Vision Clinic. She has over 20 years of optometric experience as both an optician and technician. Rebecca manages our contact lens inventory in addition to her front office and clinical duties. She is a proud mother of 4 children (Daja, Kayla, Kiara, and Keith) and enjoys spending time with them and reading novels.
